2nd Grade Reading Teacher
Meet your teacherMy name is Melissa Perez, and I’m thrilled to be your child’s 2nd-grade reading teacher! I am a proud first-generation Cuban-American, born and raised right here in Miami-Dade County. As a product of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, I take great pride in giving back to the same community that shaped me.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in K-12 Exceptional Student Education from Miami Dade College, with endorsements in both Reading and ESOL. Teaching is my passion, and I’m dedicated to helping every student grow as confident readers and lifelong learners. Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom to a teenage son who keeps me on my toes, and I’m a huge Miami Hurricanes fan—Go Canes! You can usually find me cheering on my team or enjoying the vibrant culture and energy of our amazing city. I’m excited to work together this year and look forward to building a strong partnership with you to support your child’s learning journey. Let’s make this year unforgettable! |
